Breakfast was wonderful, and it was very nice of them to adjust the breakfast for our vegetarian diets. The staff was instrumental in helping us plan the other trips we were making.

Well being my first time backpacking, and on my own, it was so nice to come to place where they were not only friendly but probably some of the most helpful people I've met. Thanks for making my traveling experience so much better!

I got stolen my passport by staff at this guesthouse. When I checked in, I passed my passport and the staff said to me that she was going to keep it. That's it. I never got my passport back. They kept saying to me that they've already return it but I never got it back never. They were all together and pretended like they didn't know anything about it. They seem pretty nice first, but it happened actually. I am sure it doesn't happen all the time cuz the rating but I never use it.

The tours that were on offer were average. The rooms were very small, no soap and not really like the images; balcony room was a box with windows and a view to the alley, no verandah in sight. Staff were lovely, tours weren't quite what you expected.

The staff there are very helpful. Although their english is not the best, they would try their best to understand what you are saying and help you. THe beds in mixed dorm are alright. The room is like a hotel room. Location is absolutely fastastic!

I've been to many hostels before and this one was amazing. The staff were super friendly and awesome. The breakfast was great. The rooms were cleana and they changed my towels and sheets everyday. The location was smack bang in the middle of the backpacker district. I highly recommend this place and will definitely come again.

Ngoc Thao Guesthouse has a nice location. Clean place, Very helpful staff. Breakfast was good and free. Should have booked our tour with them. Much, much cheaper than the internet. Will definitely stay there again when I go back with my family.

I stayed this guesthouse for 4 days and during my stay in this guesthouse, I really enjoyed!! Staffs are really friendly and they organized everything. Especially HANG helped me a lot, and thanks to her I could do everything that I wanted to do in HCMC. So i could enjoy HCMC thanks to this guesthouses staff. Thanks again and I hope next guest also enjoy HCMC with this guesthouse.

From airport to the hostel, should take the hostel's recommended pick up to avoid being ripped by the cab drivers at the airport. The hostel was well maintained and cosy to be in. Staffs are helpful, able to provide suggestions on tours. Location of the hostel allows travelers to move around easily as it is in the center of the busy district.

It was in a good location. There was no noise at night as it is tucked away. Breakfast was regular, comfy beds. The internet was alright. Was a weak signal but it worked downstairs and not in the rooms. They don't make your bed but they do clean the bathroom and floor everyday. The atmosphere is more like a hotel so not really for meeting people. There are many guesthouses in saigon such as madame cuc where they give you free breakfast and dinner for same price or less.

Good points: Great location and very good to meet other travelers! Water and beer are also quite cheap. Bad points: Staff is helpful but a bit cold with the guests (the atmosphere could be better). The hostel has five floors, what can be tough if you stay in the top floor.

Finally I found a hostel in SE Asia that lives up to what I expect a hostel to be: small, homey and full of solo travellers. Location is perfect, at the heart of Saigon's backpackers guetto. Make sure you book the 8-bed dorm, which, in spite of being on the 5th floor, is excellent to meet people. I'd only complain about the price for the airport pick-up: why did we pay $ 15 for it and only $ 8 for the private car they provided us for the way back?

Excellent location, right near all the bars, and a close walk to the market. Even just a brisk 15 minute walk from almost all the sites and museums. I had just gotten food poisoning, so I wasn't really in top party shape by any means, but it seems like there were a ton of hot chicks staying here that never came out of their rooms. The common area isn't stellar, so we ended up drinking in our room, which wasn't conducive to meeting people and dragging them out to bars. Otherwise great place.

PROS: hot water, free wifi and internet access, free breakfast (the pancakes are delicious!), and a helpful staff who will arrange your transportation and tours if needed. The rooms are also pretty clean. CONS: No locker for your valuables. That's about it.
