Our hostel is the winner of the North Coast Tourism Awards 2010 for Best Backpackers Accommodation.
This is Byron Bay’s newest premiere backpackers/flashpackers. Opened in March 2009, Nomads Byron is located just minutes from the stunning main beach behind the iconic Great Northern Hotel.
This brand-new property offers a variety of dorms and en suite private rooms. Facilities include our Mad Travel Shop, a sun-drenched courtyard with two 12-seater spas, a fully equipped kitchen, Global Gossip internet, a BBQ, balcony views and a TV lounge.

Beds are pretty good for a hostel. Rooms not very sound proof,you will hear everyones conversations outside. Photos on the website are dated but they are renovating down stairs hopefully they will update their site. I was told on C/I that there is no free parking in Byron Bay (what so ever)....and that I can pay $10pn to park at ALDI, Being Aussie I was not going to pay to park at ALDI, all most all street parking is free you just need to move the car & between 6pm-9am its fine anywhere

Cancellation Policy
This property has a 1 day cancellation policy.Failure to cancel within this time will result in a cancellation charge equal to the first night of your stay.
Things to Note
Please note: a minimum stay of five nights is required if staying during the Christmas and New Year period, from 28th December to 2nd January.
No check-in or check-out on Christmas Day, Boxing Day or New Year’s Day.
All bookings for peak period (including Christmas, New Year, Blues Fest and schoolies) will be charged in full one month prior to arrival, with no cancellations accepted.
All payment made with credit card detail will incur a 2.5% surcharge fee.
For schoolies:
Full payment is required at the time of booking and is non-refundable one month prior to arrival. We only accept full-room booking for all schoolies and sporting team. Sharing option will not be accepted. All beds in room will have to be paid for. A $20 non- refundable security fee will be paid by each guest on arrival. We will hold a security bond of $200 per person for all bookings. Bond will be refunded upon satisfactory room inspection.
All guest must present a passport at checking. Failing to have a valid passport will result in cancellation of their stay
