The hostel is 100% chinese style. Dont expect to find the cleanest and the biggest rooms, but if you simply don't care this hostel is just perfect, especially for the location which is in the centre of the universities area. The staff doesn't speak the best english ever, but they try, and i did appreciate the effort. Had a lot of fun!

Well... the hostel was acceptable to people who has some kind of experience about hostels for a good price, but not for other people who doesn't have any experience, but the rooms were really dirty but not the beds... the beds were really clean, but not comfortable. Anyways... the name doesn't fit the hostel, because it is supposed to be INTERNATIONAL, and in this hostel there are 99% chinese living like forever. In resume for me was kind of acceptable for 60 RMB a night

for starters, we had no idea that a window is actually considered a luxury in a youth hostel. we paid more money (80 Yuan) from the previous hostel which we were in (Far East Youth Hostel) and we got half the quality. the room was stuffy and small, so small we couldn't even open our suitcases, not to mention there was no closet! the bathroom wasn't very clean when we arrived and there was a bad smell coming up from the sewer, and of course there was no window to air it out...

First of all, they messed up our reservation and gave us 2 rooms for 4 people instead of 1 for 8. Another thing, most of the rooms didnt have a window: which wasnt that bad since its winter and the rooms with window were really cold. Then, there's a big difference between having a ensuite room and a dorm. The common toilets are really really dirty. So ensuite bathroom is recommended, considering there's only 1 western style toilet in the common area.
