Rock Wood Hostel Nice lobby and living room, they have nice decoration. This place is clean, tidy and many free spaces at the room. The room was so warm and woody in winter. They have many big windows in many spots, so we could see nice view of park outside. It is bit close with metro. Try it for good level of vacation :) -DragonWinter, Indonesia-

Nice little spot in the city centre. Stayed in a 6 person dorm which was tight enough when 6 people were there together, but clean and secure. Clean over all and a nice common area for sitting and getting food. Staff were friendly enough and it had a generally good atmosphere.

Rooms and corridors were clean. Warm rooms and warm showers. Very nice stay at rock and wood :) maybe could do a bit more to encourage interaction at the common area

The Hostel is nice with a nice bar and loby area to sit and meet people. The bathrooms are verry clean. Staff is nice and helpfull. It's lokated a little bit of the center, but close to three subway lines, one of them conecting both airports and the trainstation I arrived. In summer you can sit outside - looked realy nice. Recomand it. Thanx for the stay.

In summer, this would be THE BEST place to stay. The common room is awesome and the place attracts long term residents who are super friendly and knowledgeable. In the winter it was a little cold, but I would come back in the summer.

It was the best hostel we stayed in. Really helpful staff. Thank you for being so helpful. If I could make a small suggestion to improve it would be that when my son ordered breakfast and he wanted one egg on toast the member of staff said that he had to have 2 eggs on toast because one egg on toast was not in the menu, it was both a waste of food and a waste of money because he only ate one egg a one toast and returned the other egg on toast There could be more flexibility around the menu

The crowd was nice but there were one too many intoxicated patrons there, I felt like it was not safe to walk around the hostel after 10pm. The locations was also very hard to find from the nearets subway station and to tell the name of the place to the average taxi driver. The staff was very friendly and we felt they were genuinely helpful to us during the day.

Nice enough hostel. Can be a little hard to find. Decent facilities. Food isn't so good, but the Ginger Honey Tea is wonderful :)

the common area is pretty cold cause they put not the heater on! also the doors and windows are all the time open - i now this is everywhere in china but it ****freezing - especially when you came from outside and you wanna getting in to a warm area, you just have the possibility to stay in your room cause there is the heater working - all day long! otherwice its a good place to stay, near to all sightseeings and good cheap street food just around the corner. staff speaks engl.prerry good!

Compared to all the other hostels we had in China, this one was poor. Even though the lobby is nice and the rooms were clean, the staff wasn't really helpful in giving us some advice for our visit or providing us with a map. The hostel is really big (4 floors), thus lacks atmosphere and you get the impression that it's more like mass processing here. The location is not too good as well, the subway station Zhongshan Park is quite far away. We wouldn't come here again.
