I loved this hostel. The rooms were comfortable, the staff was very helpful, and there was a great atmosphere. I will definitely stay here again when I return to Shanghai.

老木 was larger than i expected, and was very clean and comfortable in general; i would recommend staying here if the wifi had been faster

A highly recommended place near a subway station.

the hostel is 5min to the next subway. our double was small but very clean. the towels got changed every day. the staff was very friendly and helped us with all our problems. they don't try to get your money. the room was equipped with thermal mug and cups. hot water is allways available. coffee is overpriced but not more than in other hostels. beer is 10RMB. we would stay there again if come back to amazing Shanghai.

The wifi was a bit bad at times but apart from that food was nice, staff were helpful beds were comfy and showers were clean!

Fantastic hostel. We stayed in a 6 bedroom mixed dorm, within the room we had secure lockers which could fit backpacks. The hostel itself - bedrooms, bathrooms and common space - were always kept clean and tidy. The big common space was an appealing place to hang out and meet other travellers. Cheap food and drinks ensured there was always a good atmosphere. The staff were always helpful and speak English well. We'd highly recommend staying with Rock&Wood.

Great place to stay though a little way out from the main central area. Very clean and the facilities are superb
