I was very suprised how good this room was. We had our own ensuite, the beds were suprising comfortable, although the room was small it was more than adequate for us. The ryokan was just off nakimise street, beyond Karinarimon gate. The staff were very helpful and friendly...to compare it somehow, our friends stayed elsewhere and paid a simular price and they didnt have an ensuite... I recommend this ryokan it was good value for money from my point.

The doors of the hotel are locked from 11pm to 7am and you have to tell the owner in advance if you want to get in or out. They give you a card but they don't warn you about this or, at least, I didn't understand it because they don't speak good English. I was locked inside so I thought the door was broken. I called them to let them know and they were very rude, speaking Japanese when they knew I didn't speak it. It's dangerous having a hotel locked from the inside in case there is an emergency.

Nice place to live at. A but small but comfortable. As a hostel, you definitely get more privacy than a normal one. You get your own tv and bathroom! Most hostels don't have that. Great service, they clean your room and replace your towels everyday. Help desk works hard and answers any questions they can help you with. I can't speak but they can speak english, they helped me find any place i wanted to go to.
