I think this is one of the best hostel, the whole feel of the cafe is amazing, it makes you feel spend time their rather than visiting any place else for food drinks. Also the staff is very happy and understands english in the best of manner. One of the best hostels i have ever been to. Recommended to all travelers in beijing.

What everybody else said: very helpfull and kind staff. Great location, clean, good food, good variation in drinks, somewhat pricy if you look around a bit, but with the prices of the beds, who\'s complaining? Maybe change the music a bit more often?

The hostel is just ok. friendly and helpful staff and fairly clean bedroom. Bad things are overpriced restaurant for very average food, noisy at night and the fact that they require deposit for even borrowing a cup (first time i see this in years backpacking). We took a tour to jinshanling great wall for 280 RMB pp with ticket not included (another 50 yuan. Great wall was amazing but the tour company terribl. Book a car by yourself and if you're 3 ppl you'll save money. Tour food was disgusting!

probably the best feature of this hostel is the large commons area in the ground floor with the restaurant: very delicious food for reasonable prices, great variety and nice staff. hostel is located close to Yashow Clothing Market, a street full of bars in Sanlitun and approx. 10 min from the Metro ringline (line 2)

I loved this hostel, the staff is just awesome, the food is so tasty and reasonably priced. I met nice people there as well. I have absolutely no complaints. It is also located in a good area just 10 mins walk to the metro station. I work in a hostel in Spain and I will recomend Sanlitun hostel to anyone coming to Beijing. Thank you guys!

This hostel is quite good. The location is very convenient: near the bus-stop, 10 minutes away from the metro station. Also, you can reach many sights of Beijing just in 0,5-1 hour of walking. Staff was very kind and responsive. There was no room for us in hostel itself, so they settle us in the opposite hotel in a very decent two-beds rooms. Thank you!

the hostel itself was okay, not as close to the subway as you might think... it's a fifteen, twenty min walk. The only thing was one of the staff at the bar, don't know her name but she was extremely rude to me because I was downstairs using the wifi without ordering anything. It was late, I had already eaten, and wifi is only available downstairs........ the other staff was just okay. I'm not sure why my experience was so different from the rest, but definitely won't be coming back.

Quite a bargain considering its location. Cleanliness was a definite plus. I stayed in the 2-bed private room which was, unexpectedly, not equipped with a toilet or TV. The whole room, in fact, owns merely 2 beds and two tables(bedside and desk). In spite of the fact that it has a window, the view includes a wall. It came as a surprise that the staff were incredibly helpful and approachable. Had a nice stay!

Would have been a much better experience if there wasn't music playing 24/7 in the lobby and especially if music weren't being blasted at night. When you want to talk to and get to know fellow travelers it doesn't help to not be able to hear them.

I have been living in China for about 4 years now and every time I go to Beijing I stay at this hostel. Location is great (right near subway and bar street), it\'s really clean, they have a great little cafe and are now building a beautiful deck, and the staff are super friendly and helpful. If you are going to Beijing stay at this hostel.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful! I stayed at this hostel 2 years ago when it was in the Wangfujing location, and enjoyed my stay then as well. They have a free hot pot dinner on Wednesdays and dumplings on Fridays, both of which are fantastic! It's a great way to meet other people staying in the hostel. This stay our A/C didn't work very well in the room, but that was really our only complaint for the entire stay, everything else was great.

This hostel is very poor quality. Do not judge it by the pictures - they are not representative of the quality of the hotels. The shared bathrooms are utterly disgusting, and the rooms are very, very bad. I would never even consider staying at this hostel even if I was stranded.
