Located in Sanlitun, that pretty much says it all. It's close to the embassies, relatively expensive, and Sanlitun is very posh. Hence, expect the traveling crowd to be more of the Starbuck's sort jetting from one place to another rather than eating local food. Having said this, it's always a safe bet!

This hostel is in a great location! Very close to Sanlitun Village and easy access to other parts of the city. Our room was very clean, and I was happy to see NO carpet in the rooms! I saw many comments about noise; we were on the 4th floor and it was perfectly quiet during the weekend. The staff, especially one amazing young lady were extremely helpful, and perky. Enjoyed their Great Wall trip to Mutianyu; no shopping, just Wall!!! Would and will definitely stay again!

Sanlitun Hostel was recommended by a friend of mine and it exceeded my expectations! We arrived late at night, but had no problems find the place because the directions given were great. Late at night it was very peaceful because most of the guests were elsewhere, so we enjoyed the quiet atmosphere in the lobby using the wifi. We stayed in a 6 bed dorm and had no problems with the other guests. They were respectful to stay quiet when getting back late. Staff was helpful in answering questions.

It was a really pleasant place to stay in the tireing city of Beijing. Sanlitun was a very nice place with a very cool bar and restaurant, very good atmosphere. The rooms were clean as well as the bathroom, which was checked very regularly by the staff. The staff was really at your service. We had a great moment!

A great hostel placed in the embassy/party area of Beijing. Great place to hang out for groups, however, as a solo traveler the hostel is a bit too big (but not a problem if you are good at socializing). Super nice staff who can help you with almost anything. The beds are not as rock hard at this hostel, as I have encountered other places here in Asia. Clean showers and public toilets. Good food (but be aware, the bread can be sweet) and nice drinks. Definitely the place to stay in Beijing.

Although I only stayed for one night, I was really pleased with this hostel. I came in late --past my arrival time-- because my train was delayed, and there were still people up ready to help me check in. Everything was clean and lovely and it was far from the street so traffic noise was really minimal. I slept like a baby! =)

The STAFF is the best thing about this hostel. They go out of their way to help and do such things as long translations into Chinese for bus, train, food, massage etc. English is good at the desk. The management needs to add more bathroms for shaired bath areas, add more hot water makers, put TV in shaired bath rooms, hot water thermoses in shaired bath rooms. Beer and food is expensive. Cleaning staff does a good job. Would be good if they knew some English. Good security. Good area. Nice bar.

Nice place; everything comfortable. I was glad I opted to stay here rather than right in the city centre. Metro is the easiest way of getting here. I had to leave during the night and the evening receptionist said a taxi could be called during the night when I checked out. Night receptionist said it was too late and put the blame on me, rather than acknowledging that his colleague had misinformed me. This was annoying, though he did manage to get me a taxi straightaway then.

Great common room and amazing staff! We stayed in a private twin which was really worth the money. Even though our shower handle leaked more than what actually came out at the top. However, the bathrooms and showers shared by those in dorms really need improvement. Smells really bad and has mould on the handles to the showers. Also the location is quite a bit from the subway. This is compensated by a big selection of affordable western food, good breakfast and extremely helpful staff!

Very nice hostel, location is great, just five minutes to Sanlitun. Mind that there are now shampoo or shower gel in the room, so you should bring your own.

Excellent hostel in an excellent location. Clean and welcoming. Food and drink slightly expensive and could find similar things for cheap just down the road. Well hidden, near everything but a short walk from the Sanlitun hub.

Great price, really clean for China standards, around 15 mins walk from metro, not as close as advertised. They have the cutest dog I've ever seen and the food is pretty good too. I only wished the beers were cheaper or that the restaurant could accept credit cards!

The only thing I can think of is some more informationo n arrival would be nice. Like check out times, food service times, whether we can hire towels, wifi e.t.c but that's me being picky :)

Nice Place to stay cause of value for money and cleanliness, dorms all have Windows, which is a huge plus compared with other Hostels. Staff is often overworked and you have too wait as its busy but things works out in the end. Reasonable Kitchen. Food is Yummy but a liztle overpriced.

I really apreciate your staff, especialy Rita who was very professionnal. Every was well explain to us and we never had bad surprises. I enjoyed the quality of the tour we took to the great wall. Your beds are unfortunatly a little bit too hard. I want to thank you for a great stay at Sanlitum.
