We enjoyed the stay in your hospital and I am sure if we may come to Peking again we wll come to your hostel. We were especially content with Candy and the guiede who went with us to the big wall Candy was very nice and answered every question. The guide took care of the group very good but I asked him please give information slower because I could not understand him properly. The cafeteria was quite fine but sometimes very loud and not all the time fast enough to serve the food.

Very nice hostel! Perfect location, very clean and great value for money. Friendly and helpful staff. Only moderate safety rating though as basically everybody can just walk in.

Very nice hostel, provided a nice stay for the weekend. It was a shame that we didn't get the room we initially ordered, and I couldn't figure out why, however this was sorted out on our second night. Overall quality of staff and food was good (being a big food person this is great). It is within easy walking distance of many different places, and with a subway station 10 minutes down the road and countless taxis passing non stop it is the ideal place for students and bag packers to stay.

Its my second stay. This time they messed up the rooms. We first had to stay in a room with shared bathroom, despite the fact we booked the enclosed bathroom. We could change after 1 day though. Everything else was ok.

great, cheap and very central place to stay with a service that nearly matches European hotel standards (and not only basic hostel accomodation)

Good hostel! No nasty surprises. Clean, safe room. Good food. Friendly staff. Not the most interesting location, but close enough to the subway to be convenient for sightseeing. Lots of tour options to choose from.

The staff at the hostel are great. Very helpful and all the reccomendations they make are worth while especially places to go. The location of the hostel is very good because you can walk to some major attractions the only problem is that they are little far from subway.

Great place to stay, bit of a stroll from the subway but not bad, maybe about 10-15 minutes walk. Very close to Yashow market which was fantastic.

Had an excellent stay at Sanlitun Youth Hostel in March 2013. In terms of value for money, it's one of the best hostels I've stayed in. We had an ensuite twin-bed room, with excellent beds, a clean but basic loo and room heating! A special shout-out to the staff - I accidentally double-booked a Great Wall of China hike with a private group as well as with the hostel. But the hostel was kind enough to transfer the fees to the private group when we said we actually wanted to go with the latter!!!

for the partying crowd or meeting fellow travellers, this hostel is it! catering to this sector of hostellers, i was very very pleasantly surprised and grateful that this hostel enforces a strict 'no smokong' policy - bravo and keep it up! i believe the silent majority (including most smokers) are strongly behind you! music a little too loud, and ethnic-centered, a little beatles, b-gees, country and western would be nice, and have most westerners tapping their feet. too much motown and hendrix!

This is our second time here. Good value for money, probably a good place to meet people (we are a couple, and live in China, so weren't on the look-out, but it seemed social). I must mention the owner (I think he was), who kindly took myself and husband to the train station (with 2 cars, we were moving to another city and had a ton of luggage). The metro would have been impossible for us. He refused payment, too - we were blown away by his kindness! Will definitely stay again!

Good Water is always warm. Location Staff is friendly/helpful Bad Smoking in the restroom, especially a couple of the male employees. There is a very unpleasant person who lives there long term, he is just there to try'n get girls. Don't believe the lies. No TV in common area.

We had a twin private room. It was clean and comfortable. Our only problem was that there was no hot water. The breakfast was good and inexpensive.

The 8 dorms is really good, very big, but can be messy sometimes. The dinner room is a very good place to meet people, talk quietly, drink a beer, eat some foods. The location of this hostel is also convenient, near sanlitun village and clubs, near the subway line 2. Negative : Before many things were free such as the lockers and the pool. The pool was a good place to start to meet people and make tournament. Now it's 10 yuan per hour, so you just play with friends, less funny.

More variety of fruit would be nice, aside from apples and bananas.

Candy, Andy, Christine, Rita, and the rest of the staff there were all incredibly helpful, cool, and easy to talk to. I really appreciated that the hostel was well heated during the winter, and the kitchen always cooked fresh food, as well as always experimenting with new ideas to keep the menu interesting. This hostel is in my opinion the best in Beijing, and it is very convenient in terms of location. Christine needs to learn how to talk though...haha!

Hostel is solid and probably as good a value as you will be able to find in Beijing. Only thing I disliked was people, including workers, smoking in the restroom all the time. I hate brushing my teeth or washing my face to the smell of cigarettes. Location is unbeatable and the staff is great. Would return again.

I really enjoyed this place. It has an excellent atmosphere and great food. People mentioned previously that is a party place. It does get busy at the bar at evenings, which I also enjoy; but it is also a great place to kick back and relax. I like the hard beds, but I have been living in China for 2+ years. The only thing I didn't like was that the showers were a bit dirty on the floor. Don't forget to bring flip-flops. Other than that, the showers were very warm with good pressure.
