More variety of fruit would be nice, aside from apples and bananas.

Candy, Andy, Christine, Rita, and the rest of the staff there were all incredibly helpful, cool, and easy to talk to. I really appreciated that the hostel was well heated during the winter, and the kitchen always cooked fresh food, as well as always experimenting with new ideas to keep the menu interesting. This hostel is in my opinion the best in Beijing, and it is very convenient in terms of location. Christine needs to learn how to talk though...haha!

Hostel is solid and probably as good a value as you will be able to find in Beijing. Only thing I disliked was people, including workers, smoking in the restroom all the time. I hate brushing my teeth or washing my face to the smell of cigarettes. Location is unbeatable and the staff is great. Would return again.

I really enjoyed this place. It has an excellent atmosphere and great food. People mentioned previously that is a party place. It does get busy at the bar at evenings, which I also enjoy; but it is also a great place to kick back and relax. I like the hard beds, but I have been living in China for 2+ years. The only thing I didn't like was that the showers were a bit dirty on the floor. Don't forget to bring flip-flops. Other than that, the showers were very warm with good pressure.

Great hostel located about a ten minute walk from the embassy/bar area. Good food in the lobby and helpful staff.

I have nothing to complain about except the fact that the wifi doesn't cover the rooms which are on the 2nd/3rd floor. it just works next to the restaurant/bar and reception. the night the wifi internet speed gets slow cause many people get online.

The place had a great atmosphere but there is no internet in the rooms, which they do not put in their description here. Also the internet is so slow and had to be reset numerous times the whole time we were there. Also, we were put in a different building so we had to walk out into the cold to go to the lobby area of the hostel.

this hostel seems to be owned by a chain, saw the same 'U' logo in shanghai. very well run, very professional. staff are friendly, dorms and bathrooms are very warm, even walk around sans clothes especially if u are finnish (had very nice finnish dorm-mates). showers are veeery hot, says the sign. lounge is very cosy, altho music is non-stop reggie, which i think is uncool - how about some abba? lockers in my dorm were the best i have ever used in my 3 years of hostelling in china.

The only bad thing I can say about this place is that they wouldn't let us bring in our own beer into the common area. We had to buy their expensive drinks. However, the place was nice and comfortable and it was in a great location.

They try hard at Sanlitun Youth Hostel. Really hard. They have free hotpot Wednesday and dumpling party Friday. But there is not an announcement. But the sign is posted. The breakfast in the attached restaurant is good. I really liked the swiss breakfast option. Just so you know there is no kitchen. The prices in the restaurant are comparable to those in the states. Chinese places are cheaper. But they get high marks, because the water is hot and there is heat in the room.

I was really happy with my stay here, The rooms were actually quite clean and comfortable. The food and drinks were also very affordable as well as excellent. It was a really good place to spend an evening, and there are lots of good things to see around the area. It got a bit busy at night time, so this is a cool place to go if you want to meet some new people.

Really enjoyed this hostel, but what makes it the best hostel in Beijing is the staff. In particular Candy, Sunshine, Christine and a short lady I cannot remember her name. The facilities are great, and the atmosphere is fantastic...great location too...

Thought the dorms were spacious (relatively speaking). Bathrooms were spotless. Awesome location. Great vibe.

Very good hostel, nice and clean with good facilities. Wifi is only available in the bar/pool area downstairs, which isn't a big problem as you can meet new people. The food from the hostel is quite expensive so if you are on a budget I recommend avoiding eating there.

Only problem we had was that our keycard wouldn't always let us into our room which was a bit frustrating when you've just got out of the shower and have to go down to reception in just a towel!

We really enjoyed our stay at Sanlutin. It was my second time in a hostel and I have to say it was a great experience. The staff were very friendly and hospitable, and it had a very homey feel to it. My only complaint is the dinning area was cold and a little expensive.

This was a FANTASTIC hostel. So great for staying in Beijing! It was so sad that we could only stay one night there. The only issue is that it's a bit of a hike from the metro station, but it's well worth it. Go, go, go, go!

Sanlitun has the most amazing French toast! It's a butter sandwich dipped in egg, and topped with syrup. The pizza is also awesome, with crispy oven baked crust. Josh and the other staff members were friendly and spot on with what's to do and see in Beijing. I like that it's "non-smoking" indoors, there are dogs that live indoors and visit with the people.
