Great hostel in a pretty popular area of beijing. Pluses include the cleanliness of the hostel and the help of the staff. Minuses are the overpriced beer and food and the hard beds (no mattress, just foam pads). But great value for 35 yuan a night in a dorm.

I loved the atmosphere of the restaurant/bar area. It had a good hippie vibe to it. The rooms don't have a lot of character, but they're warm, and definitely worth the six dollars that I payed. The beds are in the Chinese style - don't expect a soft, plushy mattress. I've been living in China for five months, so it's comfortable to me. If you're used to Western beds, you'll probably find it very uncomfortable. My one criticism is that the bathrooms smelled bad. Please use more cleaning products!

Stayed there multiple times in shared and private rooms. It certainly has a western feel to it but the staff speaks perfect English and is helpful at giving directions to cab drivers. It's a really short walking distance to Sunlitun Village (expat/foreigner area). I would recommend.

I think it was good overall. However, people cold just randomly come in and play pool and other games at the hostel. This seemed kind of weird to me as they were not guests if the hostel. Other than that, my friend and I had a fabulous time at your hostel. Thanks for being so hospitable.

I've stayed at many hostels and this is right up there as one of the best. Very cheap, great social area, lovely food and drinks. The staff were exceptionally helpful. I dealt mainly with Owen and Candy but they were all brilliant. The tours were well priced and were good value for money. I would really recommend this hostel to anyone of any age who wants to get a lot from a trip to Beijing

The location is great if you want to visit the Sanlitun bar/restaurant area. The atmosphere is very much geared towards the student traveler and the social space is quite large.

This was a great hostel with a very nice atmosphere. Many backpackers from all over passed through and the bar had a relaxing vibe, kind of regge style. Many great books for readers, free wifi, good food, helpful and friendly staff, clean rooms. The hostel arranged a tour to the Great Wall for us. Skip the acrobatic show. The best part was the shower, I know it seems trivial but the water got very hot and there was great water pressure. I would stay here again and recommend this hostel.

This hostel was great! While it was well below freezing outside, my room was warm and cozy all night. The showers were very hot, although they were a little dirty(hair and scum on the floor). The food was excellent. We had western style breakfast twice there. The staff was incredibly helpful! They all spoke English well and were glad to help with anything. We took the Great Wall tour offered by the hostel for 280RMB per person and it was great! The tour guide was awesome!

Room was comfortable. General satisfaction was good. I found, though, prices at the bar wrer expensive for china. I felt paying breakfast as I was in Europe. I point to improve. Wifi signal in rooms.
