The location is not quite good as far from metro station. However if you take a bus to downtown it would be more convenient but it's a little hard task for foreign travellers. There is a shared space but you can't sleep there.

whrost hostel Ive bought in china... and Im not demandfull, I just always take the cheapest dorm I find and Im usually plenny satisfied. But this one was really bad, ive been all around china for 3 month, no complaint about nothing but this one... just go to the other soho hostel next to the people scare, its a little more expansive but you got free breakfeast and laundry as a refund for the higher price.

The place smelled pretty bad and didn't look clean. The "shower" was the head of the sink that detached. There was no separate shower to stand in. The bed was very unclean looking and slightly damp.

None of the staff spoke any English which is not a problem as we are the guests in their country, but if asked for directions they send you to where they think you want to go which in our case was completely the wrong way, they tried to help but the feedback to them is...if they don't understand they should say so! No maps or any info re Shanghai, no atmosphere at the hostel, nowhere to order food/drinkand not many visitors made it for a poor stay. The only good but is was right next to The Bund
