Property Notice:
YHA Sydney Harbour will be undergoing essential works from 14 June to 3 July 2026.
We’ll be upgrading key building systems, including air conditioning and ventilation on Level 3 (North), to keep improving your future stays.
During this time, you may notice some daytime noise (including crane activity) and minor changes around the property. Sleep hours will not be affected. Rooftop access will be via the north stairs only during the works, and there may be occasional minor power interruptions.
We’re keeping disruption to a minimum so you can continue to enjoy your stay in Sydney.

This place was hands down the best hostel experience I’ve ever had. Clean, safe, quiet, perfect location and absolutely incredible view of the Sydney Opera House steps away from your room. I would recommend this place to any of my friends & family! I’m not really a hostel person but this place felt like a hotel.

This hostel is the place to be if you're visiting Sydney! Perfect location, you are right in front of Harbour Bridge and can get everywhere with trains from Circular Quey. The facilities are clean and the staff is available 24/7 to help. I really liked the organised free activities, such as the documentary night or the walk from Coogee to Bondi. Bianca, who took us there, was extremely nice, patient and competent, and I met so many nice people on that trip! I really recommend it.

Great location. We had a family room - 2 adults with 2 teenagers. Well equipped new hostel. Rooftop terrace is a plus. We were there in July so the atmpsphere would probably be better in the summer. Too cold and wet for the rooftop. Enjoyed our stay there. The location was perfect for seeing all of the attractions around the city centre. It's right beside the port for teh ferry to Manly as well so we got out there. Lots of Wilson parking in the area that you can book in advnace.
