A bit hard to find, but overall a good cozy hostel.

Great relaxed houselike atmosphere. Ivan makes the hostel and will provide you of all the information you need. The breakfast is simple but really good, Ivan likes to get the quality stuff.

Just wanted to chill for the evening & someone put on a DVD, so it worked out great!

Very good hostel, the ambience is very familiar! Good for short stays or longer stays!

I had a pleasant stay and despite the hostal being a bit run down, it is so in a romantic, authentic chilean way. I stayed in a single room, basic but comfortable, sink in the room was a bonus. Only thing would be that staff was too "relaxed" about the breakfast. It was supposed to start at 9 but one day didn't appear until almost 10am, the other day there was no bread at all, 3rd day I had to leave at 8.15 knowing there would be no breakfast yet, but the table & food was all ready? Confusing.

I love when it's simple and at Ventana Sur, you feel like in the home of your friends. Breakfast when you want (just ask if it's after 10 or 11 o'clock), sit in the coach, play guitar, stay near the pool in the sun... The manager, Ivan, is there to help you, to organize "asado" and cook the meat, etc. Well, it was just perfect.

Ivan was very helpful and answered all questions willingly. very nice guy.

Best breakfast I ever had in a hostel! And great atmosphere in this cute hostel :)

Not a terrible stay but location wasn't the greatest. No lockers to store stuff. Breakfast was actually great - bread, cheese and meats. Owner was nice and sociable. Not the greatest social vibe. Overall clean and good showers

The kitchen is good and the pool nice, but the place was moldy, the beds very squeaky and the staff very loud - even in the middle of the night. I understand guests making noise at nights but not the staff. The location wasn't exactly bad - still a walking distance to the centrum and a very nice neighborhood, but it was kinda awkwardly between close and far - a bit too long a walk, a bit too close for a subway ride.
