Great hostel. It felt more like a friends place than a hostel. Ivan the owner is great value and will help you out as you need. It's a little out of the centre of Santiago but this is not an issue as there is a metro station very close by and some great places to eat near the hostel.

The best hostel we have stayed in throughout South America! Clean, great beds, top staff, brilliant BBQ night! Felt like a 2nd home, loved it there! Cheers Ivan, Zak and Jason

I had the best stay here. I can´t imagine that some other hostel would be better. The house is very cosy and you get the feeling that everybody who stays there becomes a family. The staff is helpfull and very friendly. The breakfast is very good. Stay at Ventana !

Highly recommended. Ivan and his team run a very good hostel, in a quiet yet still central part of town. Clean rooms and a swimming pool in the back. Barbecues were held on both nights I was there. You only have to look at the patio wall to realise Ivan has been very popular with previous guests and rightly so – very good choice for Santiago.

We only stayed here one night. Liked the quiet neighbourhood and the proximity to the next underground station. In comparison to other hostels the breakfast was very good: they serve not only dulce de leche and jam but also cheese and ham and yoghurt. And the bread was very nice! The bathrooms are quite spacious and they are cleaned every day. For a short stay we would recommend this hostel.

So many items left in dorm room, it would be better if the room can be clearned everyday.

Hostel is super nice and friendly, but dorms and sanitary don't get cleaned during week ends (dorms get smelly ...) when hostel is full ... bathroom dirty/messy etc ... Staff and admosphere amazingly friendly!
