Thomas Lefort & Nefeli Mousoura

If you appreciate classical music, this recital offers a thoughtful exploration of German-speaking composers spanning a century. French violinist Thomas Lefort, trained by Ivry Gitlis, teams with Greek pianist Nefeli Mousoura to present a program starting with Mozart’s rare minor-key violin sonata. You’ll then hear lyrical pieces by Schubert and Mendelssohn, followed by Schumann’s dreamlike Fantasie Pieces and Brahms’ powerful Third Sonata. The selection highlights the shift from classical clarity to the emotional depth of Romanticism. The performance invites you to experience the evolving styles and moods of these composers in an intimate setting. You may be drawn into the nuanced interplay between violin and piano, where each piece reveals a facet of the era’s music language. Whether alone or with friends, the evening offers a chance to appreciate the subtle beauty and intensity defining this repertoire. It’s a quiet, rewarding way to spend time with music balancing precision and passion.
