This former monastery, dating back to the 13th century, called Antico Spedale del Bigallo, has been renovated and equipped with all the necessary comforts to offer modern travelers the same shelter and unique experience as once, in its original medieval atmosphere.

Dormitories:
If you’re traveling with your friends, family, or in an organized group, we suggest that you choose one of our luminous dormitories – one that sleeps 5 and the other 8; an ideal solution given their spaciousness and comfort.
The decor was created by local craftsmen following designs of renaissance beds found in paintings from that time period. Each bed has its own storage space (locks can be requested at your arrival).
Each dormitory is equipped with shared bathroom with shower. It is possible to request a set of towels with a supplement of €. 3,00.
Alcoves:
Sleeping in the alcoves is without doubt the most unique solution that the Bigallo Hostel proposes. It is inspired by monks, that traditionally slept in small wooden alcoves. The Hostel offers 20 beds in the wooden alcoves, each alcove with two single beds, creating a spacious and luminous dormitory. The bathrooms are shared. It is possible to request a set of towels with a supplement of €. 3,00.
Private Rooms:
And if you prefer some more privacy, just chose one of our 5 double rooms (with the possibility to add one or more single beds), all equipped with private bathrooms with shower. It is also possible to add one or more single beds in the rooms. Sheets, towels and daily cleaning are included in this accommodation.
