Without air conditioning, the rooms are incredibly hot. There was one fan but it was not positioned well for airflow. Otherwise, we loved our stay!

Stayed with my brother and parents in a 4 bed private whilst doing el Camino. Was great value for money and a good option with my parents, who haven’t stayed in a hostel before. Location is brilliant and the bar ‘Convent Garden’ was always busy and great for evening drink and breakfast. Would definitely stay again when returning to San Sebastián.

Great location. Well thought out bathrooms and dorms. Always really clean. Good atmosphere. The rooftop was great. Only downside was lack of AC or fan. The rooms were very hot at night.

For that price usually they include a nice breakfast. Also i wished there would be shelf in the shower to put my shampoo etc, considering your bathroom is nice n clean.

    Fabulous

very clean and well run hostel. Staff were professional and helpful, the whole place is very clean and we appreciated the extras such as the slippers. The room (twin bunk bed room) was very small and also very hot, though the fan did help and we had a comfortable (if cramped!) stay with everything we needed. And slept very well - very comfy bed!

    Very Good

Clean and modern place. I was there on a wed and thurs, and they did a pintxos tour on thurs which was a great way to meet fellow travelers. Apart from that there didn’t seem like any place to meet people as the outside bar was open for non-hostel guests and the rooftop was only open (and empty) at daytime.

With the exception of the bar, the hostel itself had no atmosphere and not a lot going on. I didn’t find the staff particularly helpful.

    Good

It’s confusing how this place a high rating, so here are some facts. Hostel has two sides, and it’s pretty much like two separate hostels with different entrances and common areas. It’s old - beds bent in the middle and sagging in the frame and creak. No lockable storage areas in the room, and there’s no AC. There’s literally NO ONE in any common areas, as it feels like you’re in a boarding school (the building is an old convent). No social aspects. Suggest staying at nearby Koba Hostel instead.

This hostel is perfectly adequate if you want a bed and nothing more. Location is fine and while the rooms are ok, not all are as pictured with the curtain-style bunks. My main issue with this place is the staff and the approach to money grabbing. Multiple times guests oversleeping were immediately threatened with late fines. €200 fines were dished out for entering a rooftop after hours instead of using their fancy locks. Not pleasant. Expensive bed, no vibes or community. Try elsewhere.
