We stayed here for 2 days, we had a private room that was plenty big enough. The hostel was brilliant, very well equipped, very clean. The facilities were second to none, staff we fabulous. There was a great vibe in the hostel and something happening every day. We would recommend without reservation.

Fantastic hostel, felt more like a hotel with the fancy ensuite in the room. Beds had curtains for privacy and the beds were very comfortable. Good location, not far from Woolworths and the main town. Excellent kitchen facilities and lots of areas to relax and lounge about. About $9 to do full wash and dry of clothes. Would highly recommend!

This hostel is basically brand new! Huge well equipped kitchen. Loads of space to hang out inside and outside. Nice pool. Beds were comfy. We could walk to everything we wanted but it the road was quiet at night. The outside area in the hostel closes at night so dorms were quiet after 11. The photos meant we thought there would be privacy curtains in all dorms but ours didn’t have them.

one of the best hostels I've stayed in, super clean including the kitchen, you can lock your bag in your room which is good and there is lots of chill out space + tour information. only a couple of minor down points which are; the top bunk is super awkward to get onto because the mattress is low so you have to jump over the bar, the Wi-Fi doesn't work, my last point is l wasn't told a few important bits like at night it's all locked so you scan I side gate + events you sign up, so I missed out

    Very Good

We visited the Byron YHA over 'Schoolies' week which was a mistake. The entire common area was taken over by high schoolers which made it near impossible to enjoy the pool and common areas. The YHA managment should really not allow large groups as it takes away from the hostel atmosphere. Tip - don't go here during 'Schoolies' week

    Very Good

This hostel is nice but really antisocial. Most people in the hostel are working there and stay in their group. It feels really cliquey and no one made any effort to talk to me. As a solo backpacker this really sucks. The staff at the desk were super nice and helpful though. I just wouldn’t recommend this hostel to a solo traveller.

I’ve stayed at a number of hostels in Byron, and unfortunately this one was my least favourite. The kitchen was revolting, which I understand is as a result from fellow travellers, however it was left in disarray for hours on end and no effort was made by staff to clean anything. There also were no group functions, which was disappointing. The open door policy for the pool also meant that the tiny pool was constantly full of people who weren’t even paying to stay at the hostel which was annoying
