Had a great time at The Generator. Staff were extremely helpful and accommodating and everyone we met was super friendly. It’s very big so there’s ton of people to meet and a nice rooftop area and indoor bar. Good location- walking distance to city center and very close to metro. Whole place felt clean and tidy!

Was the weekend of the Corona virus shut down so the hostel was very quiet. Arrived in 8 bed dorm to find food and belongings in the room and another bed made up. In morning I was only one in room so all the mess had been left by previous guests. Sign in room said all belongings would be cleared out that day so headed out. On return all mess was still there and food was beginning to smell. Reported to reception and cleaners arrived in 10 min to clean away 2 bin bags of rubbish.

Everything was great (awesome building, rooms, and location) except the bathrooms. I think there were some plumbing problems. Smelled very bad all the time, and lots of water on the floor. The showers were gross.

Would highly recommend those wishing to visit Paris for a city break to stay at this hostel. Only an 18 minute walk from the main station, we had a lovely stay. Thank you!

A nice place to stay, but they didn't give me a pillow and they only have one sheet, only the bottom one.

    Very Good

The staff was not very engaging with their guest and the bar tenders were actually quite rude. The rooftop was closed, but my friend called before we booked because the selling point of the hostel was the rooftop, and they had told us it was open. They have walking tours everyday which is nice but it's the same one which sucks. Their night activities are only available Thursday-sunday which also sucked because we stayed Monday thru Wednesday. Location was perfect and super clean.

I stayed in the hostel at the start of the Coronavirus outbreak so it was understandably quiet. The hostel bar is very overpriced and you have to pay extra for storing luggage. I felt like they were trying to get as much money out of me as possible.

not a pleasant stay. they do not make the beds for the guests which wouldnt be an issue but is problematic when there are other people checking into your room at all hours of the night and they need to make the bed. another person in my room let a random non hostel guest into our room to use the bathroom and hung out with them in the room for over an hour. bed very uncomfortanle

Somebody enter to our room and stole $160 dollars from my wife purse. They should advise to buy a lock to put in their box. This is the worse hotel I have stayed. Only three female receptionists were very help. The manager, she did not helped at all. She just say fill out a report and then I need to go to a police station. Advise, check hotels reviews, they have experience with stealing from the roo. They do not allow to bring food to the room.
