Montacute was a perfect hostel for our stay in Hobart. Just up the road from the harbour and all the great restaurants. The owner is hilarious and super friendly. Will definitely stay here again the next time I visit.

Had a really lovely stay here as a 32 year old solo traveller, looking to do my own thing and meet some likeminded folks in a chill environment. Not a party vibe (which was my preference) but still managed to enjoy some wine with my bunk mates and hit the town. Super comfortable place in a perfect location. Ant was a perfect host and had great recommendations that made my visit to Hobart so wonderful.

Holy Awesomeness! The owner treats this as if it's his home... And it is! I felt like I was staying at a friend's house with all the comfort of home! Must stay here so you can see what all the other Hostels are lacking!

Hostel is located in a great location, a short walk away from Salamanca and it’s famous markers. The rooms are large and spacious and I never felt like I was on top of any one else despite sharing the room with 7 others. Amenities were pretty standard and were well kept. I would stay here again and would recommend to those visiting Hobart.

Fabulous quaint hostel located in a quiet back street conveniently located close to the cbd and Salamanca district. Stayed here for 3 nights and loved it. The owner is very helpful and accommodating. The facilities are well maintained and the rooms are very clean. A great option if you're looking for something a little nicer than your standard hostel.

Montacute Bunkhouse was a great place to stay in Hobart; its location in Battery Point is very central and is close by to many great restaurants and cafes. The hostel itself is very nicely furnished, however doesn't have a large common room, instead it has couches spread around the hostel. The beds and pillows were comfortable, and having a provided towel was nice touch. The bathrooms aren't shared, instead they are little self-contained rooms. Overall, this is a great place to stay in Hobart.
