Montacute Boutique Bunkhouse is a multi-award winning hostel in the centre of Hobart, in the historic village of Battery Point. Owners, Antony and Rose, live onsite with their daughter Eve, cat Mrs and Miniature Bulldogs Lily and Tuxi.
Montacute has private queen rooms, private bunkrooms, shared bunkrooms and girls-only bunkrooms. All beds have excellent quality mattresses, hotel-quality cotton sheets, woollen duvet/doonas and blankets, and a towel. Every bed also has a reading lamp and power point.
Montacute has a large kitchen, sitting room with log fire, lounge halls with sofas, dining room, BBQs, deck, balconies with mountain views, garden with picnic tables, coin-operated laundry and bicycles for hire.

Montacute has FREE PARKING and FREE WIFI.

Located near Salamanca - drop off from airport bus about 8 blocks away - near market and restaurants. Refurbished older home that feels like a bed and breakfast, and tries its best to make it comfy though it can be hot and bathroom facilities can cause a queue. Canâ€™t lock things in the dorm room. Nice kitchen. Good choice for Hobart given alternatives.

A good spot close to the city although up a hill. In a gorgeous location with lots of good facilities in-house. The cleanest, comfiest hostel beds I've ever slept in! Bathrooms with lots of hot water, full kitchen, chill spaces, dogs (!!!) and a helpful, eccentric host! An older crowd with lots of people either staying the night or living in house but lovely, kind guests.
