To be fair, I only had one night here and it was rainy so I could be unlucky! But as a solo traveller, I found the atmosphere not very open. At breakfast (simple, but good), everyone sat around in a circle but only spoke maybe to their one friend. I think conversation would flow better if seated at tables across from one another. I didn’t love the key code system either - maybe if codes could be shorter. Resulted in most people forgetting their number and knocking on the door (once at 3am).

Had heaps of fun here, was a great place to meet people and is right in the centre of town. Just needs a bigger kitchen and more fridge space for the number of people staying!

I traveled to Byron Bay to have a weekend away by myself and enjoyed my stay at Nomads Byron Bay! The staff were all approachable and so friendly. This hostel seemed to be quite busy! There were a lot of people in / out and socializing! I would have liked to socialize more, but I was on a bit of a time crunch with how much I scheduled into my weekend. I definitely recommend this place!

Nomads had activities planned throughout my stayed which helped me to put myself out there as a solo traveler, surfboards and bike rentals were only $10/day which also helped my budgeting throughout the trip. Location was great, able to walk back with ease from Main Beach and located right next to all the shops and in the same building as a grocery store. Would recommend for backpackers of a younger age who aren't in need of any "frills" during their stay.

Great location, its a big U shape of two floors dorms , with lots of backpackers, room is clean with AC. Everything is great, One thing I couldnt stand is the ladys shower n toilet located at the end of the hall, I dont mind some guy coming in to use it but there is almost No air in that shower room , all the heat is trapped in there, therefore there is MOLD!!! Staff are hard working ,but with bunch of young teens expecting people to clean up their mess ia hard work!!

It was an okay experience and a good price but very noisy. stayed in 8 bedroom CONS No noise curfew - VERY LOUD EVEN AT 4AM (was woken up about 4-5 times a night by rowdy guests) Most bathroom stall doors were broken and wouldnt lock beds were very noisy and creaky "free breakfast" consisted of some bread, a toaster, and vegemite/butter PROS staffed 24hrs good security, every room is locked with a code cheap bike/surf board rental cheap overnight parking good free wifi lots of social event

I really didnt enjoy my stay at Nomads. The front desk employees tried to sell us Fraser Island tours at 8am after our overnight bus. The luggage room was packed and had mosquitos. The door code security system is hard to use and left us locked out a couple times. We tried to extend our stay one night and they made us check out and wouldn’t let us check in again until 2...just to have the same exact room. The Air con in our room didn’t work. Overall terrible stay. would definitely not recommend
