Amazing location, super cheap daily parking, the most helpful staff ever, and epic dorm mates! No complaints from me 🌞

Everything was great except for one thing: the room we stayed in had carpet that smelled really awful and musty. We had to go out and purchase a candle to burn all night as well as keeping the windows open. If there were no carpet in the room, it would have been perfect!

    Very Good

    23 Dec 2019
This is the second time I have stayed here and this time unfortunately the first room we were given was horrible. It smelled of vomit, there was mildew in the metal bedposts, the window did not open and the air con was set to hot. I was staying here over Christmas. I certainly didn’t need any heat from the air con. The second room we were given was a lot better. Cleaning still left a lot to be desired, but we got air con that worked, no vomit smell and a balcony. could do a lot better.

Good location - staff were nice. There were free activities arranged everyday which was good! However, the kitchen was so unpleasant that we didn’t want to cook at all, and the bathrooms often had vomit in and smelled awful. Some of the showers didn’t drain properly. None of the taps had cold water for drinking - all were lukewarm. The lock on our door was dodgy - you had to pull the door shut for it to lock and hence our room was left open often when our roommates forgot to lock the door.

Stayed for a week in the double room. Room was a bit dusty and found cockroaches in the bed and on the towels in the bathroom. Bed was comfortable and the fridge in the room was a nice touch. The common area was a bit too loud and didn’t have the best atmosphere. We felt a bit outcasted because everyone else seemed to know each other and took up all the tables, so we always end up sat on our own. Noticed a lot of solo travellers in the same boat. Wouldn’t stay again but was a good location.

WiFi doesn’t work, air-con blew out warm air that smelt of sick. Door pin doesn’t unlock door so have to knock and hope someone is in your room(room 101) if not then go downstairs and wait 10 mins to be seen. The corridors to rooms are so loud, no one respects each other’s sleep even at 4am. Staff don’t care and let everyone to it. Kitchens always a mess. 5pm when you want dinner people are drunk, slutdropping, revealing themselves and screaming. YHA is around the corner and so much nicer!

Nomads BB has to be one of the dirtiest hostels I’ve been to in all of Australia. Hallways, common areas, hot tubs, rooms, kitchens and bathrooms, I’m not sure any of it was kept clean. Common area/hot subs were littered with cigs and empty beer bottles. Bathroom sinks don’t drain properly so it is impossible to wash them clean. All the sinks on the second floor were clogged with hair, vomit, toothpaste Looking under my bed I could see that do not sweep anything but the middle of the room

I was here for 3 nights and this is by far the worst hostel I've ever stayed in, the kitchen is disgusting, I have pictures of a spillage which remained there for a few hours, vomit on the stairs just left there, hairs in the sink, walls are disgusting. Basically, if you are not prepared to cook food in a 'kitchen' which doesn't feel dissimilar to a public toilet and have hygiene standards even mildly higher than a wild animal, this place is not for you.
