It is very remote and there are no shuttles out unless you call a taxi which is around $50 for a trip into Santa Elena (the closest town). The owner, Ronny, is very friendly and happy to help in whatever ways he can. Feels like camping so if that is your vibe I would recommend. Things to note: There is no hot water in the dorm cabin, the kitchen doesn't have maintained appliances and no refrigerator. Ronny and his family cook delicious meals for you but it is an extra cost.

It is a lodge in the jungle so expect bugs. The views are amazing. Great bird watching. Traditional Costa Rican breakfast is delicious! .

Unbeatable views and really cool accommodations, Ronny is also super helpful for getting stuff booked in Monteverde. Also the food is delicious, I’ll be thinking about the fish for a bit
