We loved our stay in these cabins! They are beautifully located in amazing forest on the hills - its a bit far from the city but the owner helped us with transportation. People working there are very helpful and nice, we even went on a little trip in the woods with them where we saw monkeys and koati:) highly recommend!

I really can’t recommend this place enough. It had everything I was needing, a hideaway in the country side, beautiful views, lots of wildlife, and a welcoming host. Ronny, the owner, was extremely accommodating and super friendly. He showed me around the property and provided me with meals and transportation. I stayed in the cutest cabin with the BEST view and it made my whole day to be able to watch the sunset and wake up to the stunning atmosphere. Definitely among the top 3 of all time. :)

The hostel has moved to Guanacaste, not Monteverde (45 min drive). It’s a beautiful, remote spot with basic cabins lacking some expected cleanliness and security, based on previous locations reviews, eg. there’s no kitchen, and restaurant was closed. Our door lock was broken, and lots of cars drove by at night, so we left after one night feeling unsafe. The owner was very kind and offered to organize excursions, but it wasn’t what we expected from the listing.
