In our hostel you will encounter not only friendly staff, but you will get to know our family. We have fiften years of experience in hospitality and as a tour provider. Therefore the La Jangada is the perfect place to start a jungle tour and to get all information needed to explore Leticia, Tabatinga (brazil - just 1,5 km away) or Santa Rosa (Peru - just 5 minutes by boat).To provide the best service we always have someone here who speaks English or sometimes even German or French.

Diversely from other cities, Leticia is safe and it is no problem to walk around, in the city centre, even during night time. It is located 100 meters from the central park of Leticia, Parque Santader. It's in front of the Santo Angel restaurant. Calle 12 No. 10-14
We are located in the centre of Leticia in a calm street, next a bakery. It will take you then 5 minutes by taxi to get to us from the airport. The harbour where you can catch the boat to Santa Rosa or Iquitos is in walking distance. Within ten blocks, you can cross the border to Brazil to visit Tabatinga. The main attraction in Leticia, the Santander Park, is just one block up the street. There various big flocks of birds, small parakeets and swallows, meet up each night. You as many other tourists can watch enjoy this unique spectacle enjoying an amazing sunset.

To cut down plastic waste we provide free drinking water to all our guests! There isn´t kitchen for guests. We offer laundry service.
In the whole house, we provide free WIFI. All rooms have, fans and comfortable mattresses. In our private rooms.
guests of our dormitories can rent towels at a low rate.
Obviously, linens and toilet paper are always included!
During your stay, you will receive a healthy breakfast with coffee and fruit.

Our stay was so welcoming and warm. From the delicious breakfast, to everyone who was so helpful with guidance about tours, recommendations and the boat to Peru. This hostel treats you like family. I booked a 3 day tour with them in the jungle, and stayed before and after. The rooms are basic (no hot water, open to the outside via ventilation) but comfortable (comes with a fan!). Our tour guide (Daniel) was incredible and welcomed us into his life. On the last day I was worried about getting to the airport - Angie made sure I had breakfast and then drove me herself. Location is also fantastic.

I had a brilliant stay at this hostel. The staff are so friendly and helpful and the atmosphere is happy. I also did a brilliant tour with them which I really enjoyed. Breakfast was great, the beds are good, decent bathroom and showers (cold but I think they're cold everywhere in Leticia).The only reason to drop stars is that there's no kitchen for guest use. Thank you all for a lovely few days!
