Forget noisy hostels in the city center. Bio Coliving Tayrona sits on the scenic road to Tayrona National Park — 10 minutes from Santa Marta, 20 minutes from Playa Cristal, and right at the entrance of one of Colombia's most stunning national parks. Buses stop literally at our front door.
What makes Bio different:
We're the only accommodation in the area with fiber optic WiFi and 24/7 solar-powered electricity — no blackouts, no dead spots, no excuses. Work remotely, video call your people back home, or just stream something after a full day in the park. It actually works.
The vibe:
This is a chill, community-driven space — not a party hostel. Guests come here to genuinely disconnect (or work deeply, or both). You'll find hammocks, a natural outdoor pool, lush gardens, a spacious terrace, and common areas where real conversations happen. We have a TV lounge, ping-pong, darts, and two fully equipped shared kitchens.
The Kogui connection:
We partner with the indigenous Kogui community of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta — one of the few communities in Colombia still living by ancestral principles. Guests can meet them, eat fish raised in our shared aquaponics system, and hear their story firsthand. This isn't staged tourism. It's a real collaboration that funds their autonomy.
