About
As the demand for saws declined over time, this house remained as the last saw sharpening craftspeople in Kamiichi Town, Toyama Prefecture.
'Metate' refers to the traditional craft of sharpening the worn-out teeth of saws to make them sharp again. We named our accommodation 'metate' with the hope that guests will refine their five senses during their stay.
Spend a relaxing time in Kamiichi Town, and sharpen your own “senses” just like the saw teeth once were.
