Summary of traveller reviews

Barcelona Pere Tarres Youth Hostel offers a great value stay with a very good complimentary breakfast. Staff are generally friendly and helpful, and the location is convenient for public transport. Some guests noted issues with room cleanliness and dated facilities, and a lack of social atmosphere.

The staff were so rude its insane, my friend was very unwell and i kindly asked if there was any way he could chill in the room for an hour or two longer after checkout, she said no and proceeded to scold me for even asking. I understand policy but there is also such thing as decency. The ladder up to the bunk was 5cm wide, we ended up jumping down from the bunk rather than using it. On top of that there’s no barrier to prevent people falling off the top bunks, enjoy your lawsuits!

The hostel overall is okay. What ruined my stay was an exceptionally rude member of staff at reception in the morning. Other than that it’s fine.

The hostel is very big, hosting 300 beds and you get a free breakfast. The rooms are dated and not very private. You have to ask for a blanket, they will only provide sheets otherwise. The price is really high for that level of service. The people are nice but not as friendly as other places, I imagine because of the high volume of people. Overall, it was okay.
