Our hostel is set in a beautiful colonial house over 120 years old, located directly on San Gil’s main square. Here, you’ll truly feel the character of Colombia’s colonial past while enjoying a relaxed, social atmosphere.
The house features unique murals of Gabriel García Márquez and Fernando Botero, making it a special and artistic place to stay.
We offer a free continental breakfast, including fresh juice, coffee, bread, eggs and cheese, perfect to start your day.
Lunch and dinner are available at our well-known Penélope Pizzeria & Steakhouse, located on-site, famous among locals and travelers for its great food.
From the hostel, you can organize all adventure activities in San Gil with us — rafting, paragliding, canyoning and more — always at the best local prices. We also offer bike rental for exploring the area at your own pace.

The building itself is a gorgeous old colonial style building. Staff is very friendly, the only downside were the really hard mattresses in the room and no real window.The Music of the downstairs restaurant is some 2010 House music remixes which can get annoying.

This hostel is simply awesome! The food was delicious and they have the nicest courtyard! There is a host always around for anything you need. Their guide Sam is super helpful with any requests or information and really quick to respond. Housekeeping turns your room everyday which eas a nice surprise. I would definitely return to La Mansion in San Gil!
