Batzú is one of our favourite hostels in Central America! Oscar and Derek are the kindest people and always make you feel at home. Oscar makes coffee every morning and it’s sooo good! The cats are also adorable! The space is clean and in a peaceful location, whilst also being really near the town. The kitchen facilities are also really good. We will always treasure our time at this hostel, a truly special place. We will definitely be going back!

Great little hostel :) basic but has all you need. Saw some cool birds and a huge iguana nearby!! Oscar the owner is the nicest hostel owner I’ve ever met, he was so kind- he made us coffee everyday and gave us good advice on where to go etc. facilities are basic but does the job, very chill vibes. Close to town and multiple supermarkets. Would visit again :)

We spent three nights and really enjoyed the atmosphere here, with Oscar being so kind and available. He gave us great recommendations about this to do in the area. The hostel was perfectly located for us, close to the center and many restaurants. The room was just finished when we stayed and lacked basic things that would make it more comprehensive for a stay or 3 or more nights.
