The owners were super friendly, withsome cute cats, the common area was a good social space. However,the rooms were tiny with little space and had 5 beds rather than 4 as advertised. one of the nights that we stayed we believe that a random man slept in our dorm room as he turned up late at night with nothing with him, slept on a bed with no sheets or pillow and then left early in the morning, didn't feel very safe as is completely open to the street. Also, had no clean sheets when we arrived.

I had an amazing stay at Batzu Hostel! The hosts Oscar and his son Derek are such welcoming, warm, and kind people who always made sure that everyone is having a good time. One could tell that this place is run with lots of love. I would recommend the hostel to anyone! However, beware that there’s no warm water for showering.

An excellent hostel, which always felt very clean, welcoming, and homely. Oscar and his son, Derek, will make you feel like you are part of their family from the moment you arrive and were always offering me coffee, a snack, local advice, or a great conversation. I'm very grateful to them both, and the two resident cats who provide some great free entertainment
