We are housed in a monumental Amsterdam building with authentic charms and steep stairs. We have no elevator, and rooms with bunk beds, making our hostel best suited for younger, mobile travelers who are comfortable with stairs and climbing.

Situated in Amsterdam Oud-Zuid, we are in one of the city’s most popular and well-connected districts. Our street is quiet and residential, offering a calm place to recharge, while just a few minutes’ walk brings you to the lively energy of Museum Square, De Pijp, and many of Amsterdam’s cultural highlights. With excellent public transport connections, nightlife, cafés, museums, parks, and local neighborhoods all nearby, you can experience a lot of the city in a short amount of time.

Atmosphere & Guest Expectations
We aim to create a relaxed and respectful environment. Hostel Cosmos is ideal for travelers who want a social but not party-heavy place to stay. To maintain this atmosphere:
• A maximum of 6 beds can be booked per reservation in shared dormitory rooms (individual bed bookings).
• A maximum of 1 entire dormitory can be booked per reservation when reserving a private dorm.
• We do not allow stag/hen parties, sports fan groups, or party tours
• Pets are not allowed
• Guests must be 18 years or older
• Children are not permitted in shared dormitory rooms
• Children are only permitted when booking an entire dormitory for private use.

Booking & Payment
- Accommodation charges are collected in full including City Tax 12,5%
- If a payment attempt fails, the reservation will be canceled and needs to be rebooked
- Pre-authorizations made by the hostel are released upon departure and are visible

Taxes
- 12,5% City Tax is not included in the room price, this is calculated additionally over the nightly rates.
- 21% VAT is included in the nightly rate.

Cancellation & Modifications
Flexible rate:
- Requests received 1+ day before arrival, are eligible for a full refund. Please reserve 7 days processing time.
- Requests received within 1 day before arrival are charged the full amount of the booking.
Non-refundable rate:
- Reservations booked under this rate cannot be modified or canceled. Payment are always processed in fully in advance.

No-show
Please note that in case of a No-Show you will no longer have a room or bed at Hostel Cosmos Amsterdam. Also in this case the cancellation fee is equivalent to the full amount of your booking.

• Hostel Cosmos Amsterdam reserves the right to pre-authorize your card after the booking is made for guarantee or payment purposes. Please make sure there is sufficient credit on the given credit card.
• Checking out or leaving before your actual date of check out, will result in losing your bed(s) or room(s).
• In case of a booking for more than 1 person, you should be aware that the booker is responsible for the total amount payable.
