Location good barmaid was lovely The facilities were awful, it smelt weird, there was no toilet paper, there was dirt, leaves & water EVERYWHERE, I nearly pulled the bunkbed down on top of me as it was not secured, 2 out of 3 used looking beds weren't occupied, they just hadn't bothered to come and clean them after the guests checked out, doors were not secure, lockers were the size of a lunch box & broken, water only came out boiling or hot, kitchen was dirty, duvet was tiny, pillow lumpy af

I have never stayed anywhere where I struggled to sleep because I genuinely did not know if I was safe. The hostel is absolutely grim, very unclean, I'm not even convinced the sheets had been changed after the previous guest. If you are a woman thinking about booking to stay here, DON'T. It has a very sketchy vibe. Other than that, a door leading out onto a roof that anyone could easily fall off of, the abysmal state of the place & the grotty pub downstairs filled with awful men..DON'T BOTHER.

I am extremely disappointed with my stay at this hostel. The cleanliness was unacceptable, and the noise from the bar downstairs continued throughout the entire weekend until the early morning hours, making it almost impossible to sleep.
