The Woodberry Tavern

I had a great stay at this hostel. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, the staff were friendly and always willing to help, especially manager AL, was alway there to assist and sort out any questions that would come up.The kitchen was well-equipped.Mind you, the place is going trough refurbishment, so certain areas have construction happening, but nothing that would effect your sleep.Overall, this hostel offers excellent value for money. I would happily stay here again.

The place is close to Woodberry wetland and Finsbury park, has a large lidl and Other supermarket within a mile, The pub itself is being just now renovated in a splendid way, and It is an old building (100 years old). The place is still a bit of a building site as the hostel side of the business is being refurbished now. Still the room have high ceilings, the bed are ok (I tend to suffer with my back, but these beds are not giving me troubles), kitchen works but need plates and cutlery

Absolute shambles, the property was under reconstruction, loud machines and works being carried out at 12am!!! No mention of this on booking. arrived to be told the two beds booked had been taken by two walks in who did not have a booking, was spoken to extremely rudely by the staff who was totally out of order. Told their systems were down and a ‘what do you expect us to do’ attitude. Their facilities were a complete mess, toilet floor soaking wet. This place should not be on this site.
