You get what you pay. What you lack in facilities and comfort, you make up for in location. I wasn't expected Hilton treatment for the price I paid, but also wasn't expecting an open ceiling where the sounds and smells of other bunkers wafted freely though the air. They should tell you that the 'private' pods have an open ceiling. This way I could decide if i wanted to endure the snorer next door who's sounds registered on the richter scale. Also, no wi-fi which was shocking for a hostel.

Location is good, staff was only at front desk and never checked for noise but they were pleasant, but the hotel was aweful. It is basically a large open room with about 50 beds separated by papering walls At least half of those sleeping there are snoring. There are no ceilings to the rooms, so they are little echo chambers. Security is a cheap bike like nailed to the door or a door handle low. A clever occupant can climb over the wall to the next room. I felt very unsafe on a floor of men.

The atmosphere made you afraid to speak or make any extra noise. There was no communal atmosphere. Overall, it felt a bit like an institution and I really did not like that there were no ceilings on the rooms - you could hear everything and, unfortunately also catch everyone's colds. There also weren't enough bathrooms on each floor - I had to go to another floor to use the women's toilets because there were only men's toilets on my floor (and one private stall that was usually being used).
