Since opening in 2013, travellers from more than 140 countries have passed through — over 100,000 of them so far — and many leave us a little love along the way, averaging a 9/10 rating across 6,500+ reviews.

You’ll find Attic on the top floor of a heritage building in the heart of Auckland’s CBD, just around the corner from the Sky Tower, Queen Street, and everything you need when you first land in New Zealand. With 100+ beds across dorms and private rooms, it’s social without being overwhelming — big enough to meet people, small enough to feel familiar. Things are clean, calm, and well run, and yes, we’ve picked up a few Hostelworld awards along the way, including Most Popular Hostel in Auckland.

Attic is proudly locally owned by three friends who care deeply about the place and the people who pass through it. It’s not part of a big international group, and it’s not run like one either. That’s what keeps things personal, relaxed, and genuinely welcoming — the kind of place where decisions are made with people in mind, not policies.

This is the sort of hostel where you wander down the hallway barefoot, end up chatting to someone new, and suddenly you’re making plans together. If you’re heading out solo — to a festival, a walk, or dinner — chances are someone will invite you along. And if you’ve got nothing planned? That’s perfect too. Sink into the couch, put your feet up, read a book, or just enjoy doing nothing for a while. When you’re travelling, that feeling is gold.

시티 한 중간에 위치한게 가장 큰 장점, 어딜 가든 편합니다. 화장실에 드라이기 있는거도 좋아요. 파리피플들이 많아서 좀 시끄러울 때도 있는데 대체로 밤엔 조용합니다. 근데 공사 소리가 밤, 새벽으로 들려서 자다가 빡쳤고 취해서 밖에는 떠드는 미친놈들도 가끔 있더라고요. 시티 중심이라 소음은 감안해야 할 듯.. 그리고 방 안에 개인 사물함이 없어서 락커룸에 물건 넣어야 하는게 좀 불편합니다. 아시안은 거의 볼 수 없었습니다. 4박 정도 했는데 뜨거운 물 잘 나오는건 좋아요. 중간이 없긴 하지만;; 청결도 나쁘진 않았습니다. 직원들이 청소 열심히해요.

위치 하나로 그냥 먹고 들어가는 곳입니다. 오클랜드의 다른 호스텔은 안가봐서 잘 모르겠지만.. 방도 넓직넓직하고 사람들도 친절합니다. 위생은 그냥 쏘쏘인듯.. 헤어드라이어 있고 엘리베이터 잘 됩니다. 바로 앞에 스카이버스 타는 곳 있습니다. 밤에 조용합니다. 다음에 가도 위치때문에 묵을 듯 합니다.

깨끗하고 공용 공간이 널찍널찍하다 . 방도 그렇고 샤워실도 그렇고 보통 여유 공간이 없는데, 방도 여유 공간이 넓은 편이고, 공용 샤워실도 샤워 하고 나와서 쓸 수 있는 공간이 넓다. 여자들은 특히 화장대가 있어서 편리할 듯. 드라이기도 있음 . 또 직원들이 게스트일을 기꺼이 알아봐주려는 성의가 있다. 덕분에 계획없이 와서 로토루아 당일치기로 가는 것이 어려울 뻔 했은데 예약까지 모두 도와줬다. 청결도도 좋은 편이다. 항상 쓰는 동안 화징실이며 샤워실 모두 깨끗했다. 분위기도 다들 마주치면 인사하는 분위기고, 위치며 나무랄 데가 없었다. 참고로 엘리베이터도 잘 작동한다. 아주 편하게 잘 묵고 가는 호스텔이었다. 가성비 만족도는 최고라고 본다.
