The Elephant Hostel Policy and Conditions:

Cancellation Policy for Fully Flexible Rate: 2 day before arrival. In case of a late cancellation or No Show, you will be charged the first night of your stay.
Non-refundable: Payment has to be done upon reservation is made and it is not refundable in any circumstances.

Nice staff and overall pretty clean. You needed a roomkey to get in to the hostel so it felt safe to stay there. I slept in a 12 person female dorm, and I loved that the beds had their own curtain, plug, light and storage compartment. You also needed your keycard to enter your locker so nobody could steel your stuff. The locker had plenty of room for my backpack, but wouldn’t fit a suitcase. The room got hot during the night and the windows couldn’t open, so that was a downside. Do recommend!

I really enjoyed this hostel. Fridge to place my food, meni to order food, pretty decent, varied selection, free drink included with arrival. Free WiFi. Tables to sit, ambient lighting, very calming. Facilities all clean - one toilet cubicle not working - 2 was enough. Showers clean, hot/cold water worked well. Lift. Comfy beds, great curtains, ac low, was good. Lockers need step for top shelf. Key system. Thanks! Price was high, but Amsterdam in general was. I’d definitely recommend

Nearly a perfect score all round. Cleanliness, security, facilities, staff etc. My only feedback is that although each bunk is quite private, there are a lot of people in one room, so it’s a bit tight for space, and it means greater chance of people coming and going all night. That said, it seems to work, and it’s worth it for the modern and clean facilities.
