Loved my stay at The Backside House! The girls volunteering at the hostel were super friendly and assisted us with whatever we needed. The owner next door was also super helpful and ensured we had a safe and pleasant stay. Location was great and right on the beach, and within walking distance to town. The room and beds were comfortable and clean.

Absolutely loved staying at this hostel. I met so many incredible people and the staff were super nice and accommodating. The location was perfect, just a couple minutes from the beach, stores and restaurants. I will never forget this experience and would love to come back!

The owner was very kind and helpful. I appreciated his guidance and kindness. The property itself needs a lot of work though. It’s run by two volunteer girls and it was quite unclean when I checked in. The room I was in was shared with one of the volunteers and her stuff was everywhere, not neatly put. Cleanliness wasn’t the best and it doesn’t seem to be cleaned consistently.
