I’ve been staying in hostels for two decades now and this one was by far the worst. The staff - in which I couldn’t even tell who they were since they never introduced themselves, greeted me, asked me questions, etc. - were not helpful or involved. The laundry room was occupied by a handful of cats (and it sure overwhelmingly smelled like them too); I’m severely allergic to cats. The shower curtains were covered in mold and stains as were the pillows. The room smelled so strong of mildew.

great social hostel, good was to make friends in maui. the staff are all in their 20s and very friendly. it is a party hostel but quiet hours start at 10pm so you can get some rest. don’t expect much from the rooms especially if it is humid or rainy outside. no AC and windows stay open(if you have one). will get bitten by mosquitos and other creepy crawlers but if you don’t mind the frugal lifestyle could be a vibe. free beer friday night was a plus
