Welcome to Sugar Cane Hostel, located in El Poblado Medellin, just a few minutes away from the metro station poblado and a shorter walk to a huge supermarket 'Exito'. Parque lleras, the zona rosa where you can find all kind of clubs, bar and restaurants in a few minutes, even the EAFIT University is just 10 minutes walking. We are located at the second floor.
BREAKFAST: EXTRA COST - From 06 am to 09 am (an hour longer on weekends)
Includes Coffee, bread, eggs, marmelade, cornflakes, milk and fruits.
SUNDAY BBQ: We offer you every sunday a delicious Vegeterian or Meat BBQ. Do not miss it!

Cancellation policy: To cancel the whole stay we must be notified 24 hours before arrival, otherwise there is no refund.
No refunds allowed for promotional bookings.
In case of a late cancellation or No Show, you will be charged the first night of your stay.

Suuuper simple hostel. Nothing going on and rooms are often empty. Works perfectly if you want a break from the busy Patios or Viajero hostels nearby. I used to to relax and prep for a travel day and ended up getting 4 bed to myself. Nothing is wrong with the hostel but if I was on the road for temporary time, I would go for one of the bigger chains. They have a pool but I didn’t check it out. Front desk prefers Spanish so have some knowledge to communicate with him. Nice ppl, just super quiet.

Very bare minimum, all bathrooms for dorms are outside the rooms and my 6 person room actually had 7 beds. Due to some confusion with organization the owner had moved my bed without advising or asking me which left a sour taste in my mouth but as my stay was short, I didn't care enough to dispute it. Wasn't the worst stay but would not stay again. Might be better to splurge a bit and stay in a more established larger hostel

Checked in and saw bedbugs immediately on my bed. Got moved to another dorm and there was a dead bedbug on the bunk I was supposed to have, so it wasn’t a great start. The staff responded well and made sure I was comfortable in my new bed, although I noticed later that day they had put a different person in the bed I moved from. The rooms are quite hot but there is a communal fan. The bathrooms are very spacious and clean. However, if there was availability in other hostels I would have moved.
