Our shared areas include a terrace, tables, lawn chairs, jacuzzi, and firepit, perfect for unwinding before or after a long trip.

Bambu Lodge Policy and Conditions:

Cancellation Policy: 1 day before arrival. In case of a late cancellation or No Show, you will be charged the first night of your stay.

Although the accommodation is inexpensive, the quality is very basic — the bed is just a thin mattress on wooden boards. The lodge is inside a house, making access confusing. The host was rude and used an unclear USD‑to‑colones conversion, and basic amenities like a microwave were only allowed after repeated requests. The only positives are the price and the location.

Great location for safety and airport transport. Didn’t realize it was in a gated community until I showed up. I (25, female) felt safe enough to go on a run alone around the neighborhood in the morning! And walk around at night. Directly across from a cute park as well. Lockers weren’t too large (I had a large 50L backpack) I don’t really speak Spanish but we were able to communicate well enough.

Not a good experience for me. I called ahead of time and asked if it was OK for a late check-in due to late flight, and staff said it was OK. They expressed that there would be someone present all night long. When I got there at 1 A.M., no one answered, and I was left on the street with all my things. Ended up having to sleep on a hotel lobby couch in order to not pay a ridiculous price of the hotels nearby. I did not have a positive experience. Luckily, it was in a good neighborhood.
