It was actually my favorite hostel in Malaysia. Nice people, peaceful surroundings, 5mins walk to the beach, friendly and helpful owners... I'm usually not a big fan of quiet life, but I did love it there and I would just do nothing, just staying there talking with people. It's original and unique. Would come back to visit and you should definitely check this ine out. ❤️

this hostel is cheap & in a decent location but you get what you pay for. the Hostelworld photos are misleading!! the 6bed dom has TRIPLE BUNKS (they’ve cropped the top top bunks out. also the entire time I was there they shut off the water at around 1am? no shower, no flushing the toilet, no washing your hands (it was also like this for the week prior, a girl had told me) and the place does smell like cat urine. not much of a social aspect

Lion is located right in the heartbeat of Langkawi but hidden between the busy main street . A perfect location for me , it sit in a little peaceful village and nearest beach ,restaurants and bars are within 5 mins walking distance. The staff and volunteers are super helpful and friendly , the owner engaged to her guests like long lost friends and she organized activities like karaoke night and bar hopping ,and island trips too. Look no further !
