Kawoq was perfect for our stay in san Ignacio. It’s right in the centre of town and close to the bus station, cafes, restaurants etc. The staff were also so helpful and arranged our trip to the ATM caves and offered laundry. There is a small kitchen with the basics needed and an outdoor seating area so there was a nice friendly atmosphere to the place but not very social as people seemed to stay in their groups. The place was spotless. Would highly recommend Kawoq Hostel.

Nice hostel, great location and good kitchen and laundry available (but quite spenny). Staff are helpful. Have to agree with other reviews I’ve read that the atmosphere is quite dead and no real vibe to the hostel whatsoever, so I can imagine it would be hard as a solo traveller to meet people here.
