Sura

A nice stay in San Jose. Felt safe in what we had heard was an unsafe city. The bed was super comfy, and the outside terrace area was a nice spot. We did have to walk to stray cat hostel for our breakfast, which was tasty and enough to get us going for the morning. The shower also had HOT water which was so needed and welcomed! The only thing that wasn't too good for us was someones left over beer can and soda bottle in the bathroom which did make us question if it had been cleaned at all!

Pros: gated and locked building, hot water, comforters for beds, fantastic breakfast I’m still thinking about Cons: cat in main area (could be pro if not allergic), no ac but felt fine without it in June, area around hostel felt unsafe if you’re a single female traveler. Overall great value

Solid hostel for a night or two.
