DaTerra Hostel

I had such a great time at DaTerra! It’s a little slice of paradise in what can be a pretty hectic and difficult to navigate city! Everything was simple but comfortable. It’s a little far from things but there is a microlet on the main road running alongside the beach that connects you with other microlets that can take you closer to the city or goes straight past Timor Plaza. Best hostel in all Timor Leste. Staff is very friendly and they are cooking incredible fresh food. The atmosphere is cozy and it's a good place to chill

We stayed at both DaTerra's in Dili. Both are great. This one was even better in terms of room and bathrooms. The room was big and equipped with a desk, AC, and fan. The two bathrooms are just really lovely with their outdoor showers. The only con about here was the weak cellphone reception. There is no wifi, so you need a sim card. The DaTerra in Vila Verde had better cell reception. Locationwise it depends on your preferences. Vila Verde is more central, but this one is closer to the airport.
