absolutely loved my stay at vibes! santi and marco are both lovely, kind people and made my stay very comfortable, safe and welcoming. i’ll definitely be back next time i’m in quito and i highly recommend staying here as a solo female traveller

The host helped us with good recommendations and was helpful. The rooftop terrace offers a great view of the city. I think it would be cool to have some gatherings with the guests on the terrace or at the bar because it has a lot of potential. The hostel felt safe and secure, which was a great thing as it was our first stop in Ecuador.

Off the bat, I want to say that the staff and location were great. The facilities were another story. My room on the second floor was nice enough, but there was only one operational bathroom—the other was filthy and did not have water. Despite asking a number of times, there was no drinking water and I had to use my water filter. I was encouraged to buy bottled water from the hostel for $2 each, which is a rip off. Finally, there was hardly anyone else in the hostel, leading to it feeling spooky
