Wanted to like it, but relative to other 7+ hostels stayed at in ecuador this one could do a lot better :/ Pros: nice volunteers willing to help. Nice rooftop views. Cons: not clean (even in private rooms, bathroom required a 2nd cleaning bc was full of hair upon arrival). Disorganized communication amongst staff (not language issue). Breakfast very disappointing (cold ham sandwich + a banana). No social scene at all. Both building & hostel need some TLC & attention

The hostel is in a great location, close to centro but tucked away in a quieter and safer part of town. The building has an old charm and the rooftop is a great place to hang out and relax. I had fun hanging out with the owner Santi and staff. We watched the presidential election results, had great conversation, and ate an entire cake together hahah. Santi was very quick to reply to my messages and took good care of me. Thank you for the great vibes and for such a warm welcome in Quito!

staff is SUPER nice and lovedddd the terrace! shower was not hot but it’s 2 ppl per room w big beds though the little steps to get to the loft bed were hard to climb (but i always check and found no bedbugs). location is in walkable historic district and theres a free walking tour. i recommend skipping the payed hostel breakfast and getting something from the market a couple blocks away— more food for the same $2.50 price! the kitchen, shared lounge area, and parakeet cage were a bit messy
