YHA Hobart Central

Overall pretty good! Beds very quite comfortable, however, the rooms were quite hot and had no screens on the windows and there were only 2 outlets by one of the beds, the rest were scattered around the room. Kitchen was ok, a little small if more than 3 people were in there cooking. Not much in terms of social areas, a tv lounge on the 1st floor, but no one seemed to be using it. Location was good, very close to the harbour, and 2 museums and a short walk to Salamanca

Beds are really not good. The bed shakes every time the person above moves. the room is super small. few outlets. dirty walls. the doors are slamming. we have to wait for bathrooms to be free. the kitchen is so small, we're walking all over each other even to sit, and the fridge is packed. laundry only takes card and is closed most of the time. no elevator, small stairs. reception not always available. no vibes; few events, and only at inconvenient times. but other Hobart hostels might be worse.

The main quality of the hostel is that it’s a social hostel. It’s a really good spot to meet people if you’re a solo travel. But other than that…. The hostel stinks, downstairs, upstairs… They have carpets in the rooms which doesn’t help. The rooms are small, and really dirty, the bathrooms and kitchen too. Couldn’t stay there for long… too rank :(
