Hostal Alcobia

The hostel looked nothing like the photos on hostel world - the room was terrible - with a horrible bright halogen light on the ceiling, no smaller, cosy bedside lamps. Very utilitarian, nothing decorative or cosy in the room - no effort to make it look inviting, no atmosphere. It's a place to sleep if you have no other options. Very strange check-in: there was nobody there and we were meant to just contact someone via a number and he gave us instructions as to where to get key / leave money.

I am surprised that a review is being requested when you consider that I made the booking. Paid a booking fee and then drove 2 hours to sevilla to find that the booking was cancelled. Consequently my wife and I were then in Sevilla with no accommadation. On telephoning the Hostal I was informed that an e mail had been sent to my e mail address which I later found in the junk mail. Trying to contact Hostelworld by telephone I was informed that the number was invalid.

Its great value to the price. Not fancy but clean, has what you need and in a great location. The stuff was very helpful and supportive upon checking in and when we had some request about the rooms.
