Old and tired room that was very hot, smelly and smelled. The air conditioner was very noisy when in use and one could not sleep when it was on. More worrying was the notice of "hazard to health" on the front door of the hostel from the city authorities in respect to a number of rooms at the location. One lift for 7 floors. No in room wifi connection, no kettle or fridge. Is this a hostel or a hotel ? it appears unsure what it is trying to be. Hostel world does not include city tax in the price!

This is a good place for short-term visiting in New York. Just several blocks aways from metro station, safe, quiet and clean.

Excellent hostel, a little bit far from downtown but OK with the sub. I highly recommend earplugs due its very noisy nightly at the street! Extremely clean hostel with a very friendly staff. I\\\'d recommend this hostel to friends or others.

Just a great place - very good value for money, I would definitely stay here again. Friedly and helpful staff, all facilities you need are there, clean room and bathroom, close to subway and restaurants, coffee shops, 10 minutes walk to Central Park.

Very quiet, nice and new hostel. Some shelves or hanger would have been nice. But beds are comfortable, staff is really nice, metro station very close.. we enjoyed our stay!

I was extremely satisfied with my stay and the use of the facility. The staff was very helpful. The location is safe, easy to get to the subway and nearby stores for food etc. There was a problem with a person next door and the staff was right on it. Con,only one computer was working. I would stay there again and recommend it to anyone however.

The staff were very responsive about any issues (e.g., room lights not working/shared bathroom running out of tissue), and they were polite and friendly. However, there was a former tenant of the apartment building who actually lived (permanently) down the hall from our private room; there was a strong smell of pot near his room every night; he didn't appear to have the best personal hygiene, and he kept cats. The one working bathroom in our hallway was gross, likely due in part to this person.

Wish they had free wifi in rooms, or at least the option for paying slightly more for that. (~$5/night?)

Two nights and well worth the money. Lovely lobby where films were shown 24/7 (at least it felt like it) on big flat screen TVs. Wireless WiFii in the lobby FOC was well appreciated. Rooms are very basic, but clean and I would defiantly stay here again.

Great location, two blocks from subway station. Two-bed dorm - very basic but worth the money if your not planning on being in the room much. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Stayed in a twin room and was easily one of the best hostels we have stayed in! Great value for money, felt like we were in our own apartment. Staff were kind and helpful. The location is great, it is on one of the main subway lines and sooo easy to get to. We always felt so relaxed walking up from the subway back to the hostel after a big hustle and bustle day through the crazy busy parts of manhattan. Hostel has everything u need around it. Will def recommend it! Thanks guys

A great modern and clean hostel! Will definitely recommend to friends! It\'s a good location for visiting uptown New York, but would stay somewhere downtown as well to experience a completely different part of town! Staff were friendly and helpful and the common areas were great!! Internet was the biggest downer, as it was very slow and only available in the lobby. Overall, I had a clean and hassle free stay at broadway and would stay again!
