Nice hostel easily accessible to downtown Manhattan. Affordable and comfortable. Wi-fi doesn't work anywhere but the first floor however there is plenty of room to sit down there and make friends.

Nice hostel!! It's a little bit far from DT, but NO PROBLEM!!! You can take a bus near the hostel, and laundry is 3 blocks from the hotel. If I could say complains, it was a little little bit noisy in the morning due to the construction.. Everything was perfect!!

Right next to the subway, various shops, food, and central park. The rooms were small and not very pretty, but well worth the price. They have a very nice kitchen and living room area with tvs and computers. The staff were really nice and multilingual and willing to give directions and advice on where to go in the city. They have a pub crawl available so meeting people is easy and fun. They gave us new linens and towels each night we stayed, and we saw the house keeping often. Would recommend.

We really enjoyed our 5 night, 7th floor stay here. Loved the private bathrooms right across the hall. Appreciated having sheets changed during our stay, daily clean towels, & beds made up every day. Staff was helpful. Good, free maps were available. Nice location near 2 subways, with coffee & food available nearby. Only additions I would suggest are : a few hooks in rooms to hang stuff and requiring everyone to bag & date everything in fridge.

Beest hostel I've ever stayed in. Private room with it's own bathroom, very comfortable double beds, a TV in the room, maid service everyday, deceent size bedrooms, accessible common room with ATM, WiFi, etc. The only downside was you weren't allowed to drink or bring guests up to yoour room, thoough I can understand that from the staff's standpoint. They also helped us with our bags and got us a taxi the morning we left. The staff were very friendly.

This is a satisfactory hotel. There was a struggle for lounge space in the communal areas during peak evening hours, this is the only place int he hotel where internet was available so it was in high demand, mabye they could make internet available throughout the hotel. Also my stay was in winter and the heaters make a rather loud annoying clicking and banging sound, Id prefer traffic white noise to this irregular tapping which woke me up regularly, on the plus side the room was very warm.

the room was extremely heated; the door was very hard to unlock and open; would be better with breakfast; in general good basic hostel

Nice Hostel, I mean yes, shared bathrooms and not really new. But for that price absolutely ok. Definitely would go there again.

Loved the stay here. Was clean and well set up downstairs with the couches, tables and tv's. The choice to put movies on every night rather than letting the TV play awesome :)

I dont know if their was value for money, I paid almost $80 for one night. I could be because it was the night of new years eve. Maybe it is cheaper other days

Located uptown so a bit far from most of the attractions in Manhattan. However, it is walking distance to the subway so it is easy to get downtown. Room is simple, a bed, lockers, and a sink. Toilets are located along the corridors. Staff was helpful and polite.

I gotta admit I was worried after reading other reviews, but for the intended purposes of a place to crash and clean yourself at night it was good. Very small, stern rooms. The bedding looked very much used, like when it has stains that won't come out after washing, yet clean. The bed not that comfortable but arriving spent after a marathon worth of walking, I had no trouble sleeping. Also, I could left my belongings there without a worry. It only lacks wi-fi available in the rooms.

We really liked our stay at the Hostel, what I could complain about is that the WiFi only worked in the Lobbey and when it worked it worked very poorly. I could really recommend friends to stay there!

We arrived at the hostel after a long day of travel and were greeted rather coldly by the evening staff. We were then told that booking together didn't guarantee we'd have a room together. My boyfriend and I ended up on separate floors- and he was even sharing a room with another girl who requested a female only dorm. The next day, we discussed the situation with day staff and it turned out the manager was able to upgrade us to a room with a queen size bed and were apologetic. The day stay rule!
